Marvel First Reveals at SDCC: Iron Fist, Luke Cage, The Defenders Exclusives

The San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) 2016 has already kicked off and one of the biggest participants this year is the comic behemoth Marvel. Speaking of, they recently unveiled teaser trailers for their upcoming TV shows Luke Cage, The Defenders, and Iron Fist at the San Diego Convention Center.

It was during the Luke Cage panel at Comic Con when the teasers were released. Certainly, fans who attended the event were amazed when the clips hit the screens. Now, for those who were not able to go to the convention, let us tackle the upcoming shows one by one as well as their release dates based on the teasers.

Luke Cage

The TV show is about to premiere September 30 on Netflix. It is going to feature the titular character to be played by Mike Colter. The teaser gave the fans a glimpse at what Cage has been up to since leaving Hell?s Kitchen last year. He also took on a gang of goons before going up against Cornell ?Cottonmouth? Stokes (Mahershala Ali).

Iron Fist

Another teaser trailer that was released during the Luke Cage panel at the SDCC is the one for Marvel?s Iron Fist. The teaser starts with a flashback to Danny Rand?s (Finn Jones) childhood, that presented him being ripped away from his mother in a plane crash and landing in a snowdrift.

Before blacking out, he saw two monks looking at him. Fast forward to the present day, Danny Rand is strapped onto a bed, which appears to be in a mental hospital. He then breaks out and manages to escape by delivering a powerful punch to the steel door.

The TV show is scheduled to hit our screens some time in 2017.

The Defenders

The last teaser trailer that the comic behemoth unveiled at the event features The Defenders. It is a TV show coming next year on Netflix that will be boasting the superheroes Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage. It is going to be the first time that these four will share the same show on television.

Clearly, the upcoming months are going to be busy for Netflix and Marvel will all these TV shows coming. But it is not just the network that will be occupied because for sure, fans are going to be waiting for those shows to premiere. Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
