Nintendo has been part of our childhood ever since. It was back in the day that they have invented Super Mario, a coin-grabbing Mexican plumber who likes to eat ?shrooms? and jumps on turtles and stuff to save a princess. GPS was not available back in the days as he ?always ended up in the wrong castle. It was a hit during those times and their popularity increased that led to a new spin off, Mario Kart.
Players compete in go-kart races in Super Mario Kart. With a number of weapons and powerups at your disposal, you can shoot, set a trap, ram, and do whatever you like to your friend?s kart just to win. This game is incredibly fun and entertaining but it has been the reason of failed friendships for a very long time.
Mario Kart, destroying friendships since 1992, has made a remarkable feat during their last installment, Mario Kart 8.
Nintendo will be swimming in cash as ?recent reports states that Mario Kart 8 ?sold 2 million copies in less than a month. Genyo Takeda, speaking on behalf of Nintendo President Satoru Iwata, announced that Mario Kart 8 sold 2 million copies worldwide during the 72nd Annual General Meeting of Shareholders.
Nintendo?s President, Saturo Iwata, was not able to announce the great news himself as he was undergoing ?surgery and was not able to proceed to the meeting. It was immediately titled as the fastest selling Wii U game in the console?s history.
The previous releases of the Mario Kart franchises were deemed to be the worst in terms of sales. And now, they managed to turn the tide as they announced its success as the fastest selling Wii U game. ???
