Marco Rojas Returns to Melbourne Victory

The wild rumors and speculations have finally been confirmed! All White Marco Rojas? has moved to rejoin Melbourne Victory in A-League!

Rojas is the 24-year old famous for being a former player of the year from A-League. It?s been confirmed that Rojas has signed a two-year offer from Melbourne Victory. In a surprising turn of events, it looks like Rojas has come back home to Melbourne Victory, after having left the club three years ago for VFB Stuttgart.

Rojas didn?t have much game time during his stay in the German club. His termination was done last Tuesday and was consensual on both sides.




Rojas says:?The situation at Stuttgart wasn?t ideal the last couple of months. I realised I was surplus to the club and when that happens it?s not a good place to be and I decided I needed to find something new.?

Meanwhile, Coach Kevin Muscat of Melbourne Victory in very happy with having Rojas back on board the team.

Muscat says: “This is another significant signing for our club as we continue to prepare for the new A-League season?We all know the quality Marco possesses. We’re excited to see him return to Victory and I’m sure our fans will welcome him back.”

Rojas started off his career when he signed his first A-League contract to join the Wellington Phoenix back in 2009. He stayed there for a good two seasons.

Afterwards, he switched over to join Melbourne Victory where he was able make 23 appearances during his debut seasons back in 2012-2013. During this season, he was able scored an astounding 15 goals and managed to win the A-League young footballer of the year award, the Johnny Warren Medal, and the Victory?s Golden Boot.

Rojas is full of confidence and believes that he has grown into a great athlete.

Rojas shares that: ?I still believe I?m capable of doing the things I did. I was away for three years so I?d be disappointed if I was exactly the same player..I?ve learnt a few different tricks and trained with German internationals and hopefully that will show?I?ve got no regrets and it didn?t go perfectly but I learnt a lot,?? he said?The whole experience I gained gives me confidence I can come here and do well.??
