EA Sports finally debuted the first gameplay trailer of its highly anticipated professional football game, Madden 17, at its EA PLAY event. The event which coincided with the Electronic Entertainment Expo also saw Madden NFL 17 being nominated for the E3?s best in show according to the game?s official Electronic Arts social media account.

EA dubbed this year’s rendition of Madden as the most complete Madden ever, featuring a slew of new updates including a brand new commentary crew, the most balanced gameplay yet and the deepest Franchise Mode to date.

Madden 17 also introduced Play the Moments into its Franchise Mode which allows the gamers the fastest way to play NFL onscreen. As Electronic Arts explained, Play the Moments allows fans to experience the important milestones in each game while simulating the rest of the matchup. Players will be invited to jump in at critical moments such as red zone drives, vital third downs, game-winning drives and more, offering the chance to prove your mettle in clutch situations.

The shortened games allow Franchise players to take their team all the way from opening day to the Super Bowl in just a weekend, maximizing the fun along the way. Others who want to experience the full game from the kickoff to the final whistle can turn off Play the Moments, or opt to jump in and out of moments as they wish throughout the game.

In addition, Madden NFL 17 comes with improved accessibility options that makes it easier for those with sight impairments to play virtual football, reports GameSpot. All of the new accessibility options will be a part of the Visual Feedback screen via the Settings menu.

The first of these options is larger on-field graphics, which make icons like passes, tackle battles and catches easier to see. The UI banners will also be enlarged, though won’t cover too much of the screen space. The kick meter too is both larger and pinned to the screen.

On top of the larger UI, colorblind support has also been implemented via filters that will cover the entire game. Red, green and blue color blindness are supported, and the differences can be seen in the gallery above. Lastly, Madden NFL 17 has added five levels of both brightness and contrast.

Madden 17 will be available for Xbox One, PS4, PS3 and Xbox 360 on August 23 in North America and worldwide on August 25. There is an option to play Madden 17 early on Xbox One with EA Access for a limited time period through Play First Trial.

The game is priced at $59.99 for the base version, but special editions are available for $79.99 and $99.99. You can buy it through EA Sports, Gamestop or BestBuy. Pre-ordering the game through EA will get you up to $15 in bonus content including nine Madden NFL 17 Ranked tickets and up to seven Madden NFL 17 Ultimate Team Pro Packs.
