Apple?s upcoming Macbook Pro 2016 has been on the rumor mill for quite a long time now. There are several reports that the devices will include OLED touch bar with integrated fingerprint reader and LTE connectivity. Recent reports claim that it may not include these key features.

The rumors are heating up since The Next Web has published an article on MacBook Pro 2016 rumors. However, they do not have any evidence to prove their claim. The Next Web?s contributor Nate Swanner reported that an insider has confirmed that these features will not be included in MacBook Pro 2016. ?In fact when asked about the rumored specs, Swanner said that his sources apparently laughed them off.

According to Swanner, OLED touch bar will not be included in MacBook Pro 2016. He claimed that Apple would keep it simple, instead of OLED, the company would go for login via Apple Watch. ?There are ?rumors that the Macbook Pro 2016 will identify users with their Apple Watch. The device will unlock automatically when the wearable is in required range.

Moreover, LTE connectivity is not necessary as tethering to an iPhone is a already there. LTE connectivity will only add a new hardware to the device.

Swanner also said that lightning port is not a possibility in MacBook Pro 2016. Lightning port is a useless idea as the same as bluetooth headsets are better and more reliable. Removing headphone jack for lightning port is probably not a good idea, at least not in MacBook. However, he has supported the earlier rumors of Kaby Lake processor and that the new MacBook will be thinner than the current models.

Earlier rumors are based on KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo who was the first to report that the new MacBook Pro 2016 will include OLED touch bar. His claims can not be neglected as he has great track record of predicting things about Apple gadgets. Than there were leaked images that showed the possibilities of OLED images and everyone is under the impression that this is going to happen in upcoming MacBook Pro.

Nothing is confirmed until Apple officially releases any statement regarding upcoming MacBook Pro 2016. Apple could announce the new laptop in September.
