Apple?s MacBook Pro 2016, with cutting edge configurations and a solid design change, is gearing up for release towards the end of this year. Meanwhile, the predecessor has got a $300 price cut as e-retailers are clearing up old stocks to make way for the next-generation notebook.

Ebay has listed the?13.3-inch MacBook Pro for just $799.99. The original price of this variant used to be $1,099. This device comes powered by an Intel Core i5 processor and backed by 4GB of RAM. Interested buyers should note that upon purchase, you can avail of 1-year Apple warranty with this device.

Moving on to the next-generation device, only recently, we heard that the upcoming MacBook will not debut alongside the highly-anticipated?iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in September.

But then, Apple could schedule a special event immediately after that to release the MacBook Pro 2016. The other way is to silently list the new model in the official website. In this case, the changes to the device might not be significant.

Past rumors suggested that the upcoming notebook will be super-slim and lighter when compared to its predecessor. To top it off, the MacBook Pro 2016 has been rumored to feature an OLED strip, which will apparently replace the traditional function keys.

Like Apple iPhones and iPads, the?next-generation MacBook will reportedly come with a fingerprint scanner embedded on the power button. This also means we can expect the notebook to support Apple Pay as well.

Furthermore, a recent report suggested that the iPhone maker could make use of AMD Polaris graphics card. This move is to get more gamers onboard. The trackpad is also believed to be wider than the predecessor in order to improve usability.

Speaking of color, the MacBook Pro 2016 will apparently be released as three variants in gray, gold and silver hues. Other than the standard connectivity options, this notebook will also support Type-C USB port.
