Ever since it was first announced, the release of the new MacBook has been keeping the web busy. Busy with guessing specs and a possible release date. The original prediction was the third quarter of 2016. However, recent details lead many to believe that this has been moved to the fourth quarter of the year.
Apple Pay could come to the much-anticipated MacBook Pro 2016 because the company is thinking of incorporating a customizable OLED touch screen on the device. The small touch screen could act as a Touch ID sensor, which can take the required biometric information of the users for making the financial transactions on Apple Pay, according to 9to5 Mac.
The delay, according to reports from Yibada, is caused by the unavailability of the Intel Skylake chips, which are expected to be featured in the laptop. The upcoming MacBook Pro 2016 is also speculated to be the thinnest and the lightest laptop from Apple.
The inclusion of the various ports in the laptop makes the device thick, so the company is planning to sacrifice them. Hence, MacBook Pro 2016 is going to feature only USB Type-C and the Thunderbolt 3 ports. Unlike the recently released Apple MacBook 2016, the upcoming laptop may feature the USB Type-C port on both sides of the device for ease of use.
MobileNApps writes that a report released by a well-known analyst at KGI securities, Ming-Chi Kuo, suggests that the release date of the much-awaited MacBook Pro has been postponed to the fourth quarter of 2016. Earlier, there were reports that the new device from Apple would be launched during the WWDC conference in June. However, the analyst has claimed that Apple might release the notebook series during the company’s special event, which is expected to take place in September 2016.
If the rumors of the MacBook pro 2016 being thinner and more compact then we everyone would surely not mind the wait. ?For more updates on this and other latest gadgets remember to drop by and click on this site.
