MacBook Pro 2016 Release Date Will Not Coincide With Apple iPhone 7?s Launch Says New Report

By on

Apple is gearing up to release the MacBook Pro 2016 with top-of-the-shelf configurations and radical design changes. The long delay in releasing the refreshed version of the MacBook was believed to end this September. This is when the powerful notebook along with the next-generation iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus were expected to be introduced. However, a new report citing sources familiar with the matter refutes this claim.

MacBook Pro 2016 Release Date

According to Bloomberg, the MacBook Pro 2016 release date will not coincide with that of the iPhone 7 lineup in September.

Although the report doesn?t say when to expect the device launch, GSM Arena says Apple could organize a special Mac event later this year. Or, without much ado, the next-generation MacBook might get listed in the Apple website for people to purchase directly.

MacBook Pro 2016 Specifications, Design & Features

MacBook is one of the heavily rumored Apple devices earmarked for release either this year or early next year. So far, we have heard that the upcoming notebook will be ultra-thin and lighter when compared to the predecessor. This information is not surprising because Apple has always made sure it trims down the exterior a bit ? every time there?s a new release.

However, the reported design changes and configurations are quite exciting. For instance, unlike the predecessor, the MacBook Pro 2016 will reportedly come with an OLED strip, which is believed to replace the function keys.

To top it all off, similar to other Apple devices, the next-generation notebook will apparently come equipped with a fingerprint scanner in the power button. The scope of this information can be further expanded to suggest it might support Apple Pay as well.

Bloomberg also says Apple might be using AMD Polaris graphics card so as to get the attention of gamers. Plus, the trackpad will apparently be wider when compared to the predecessor to improve usability.

Furthermore, the MacBook Pro 2016 will reportedly come in three hues namely gray, gold and silver. Apart from the standard connectivity options, a Type-C USB port has also been tipped.
