MacBook Pro 2016 is among this year?s highly anticipated devices, but no official information has been released about it yet. However, reports indicate that Apple has made major changes to the much awaited laptop.
The Cupertino-based tech giant has reported a decline in sales of the MacBook Pro for the past two quarters. Because of this, the company has supposedly given its latest model a facelift. Apple?s product lineup will also be streamlined as they will focus on the 12-inch MacBook and the MacBook Pro.
One of the most talked about changes of the MacBook Pro 2016 is its rumored thinner and lighter body.
KGI Securities analyst Ming Chi Kuo claims that it will just be as thin as the MacBook Air lineup. This has led to speculations that Apple will no longer release a new version of the MacBook Air this 2016.
There are also rumors specific to MacBook Pro 2016 specs. Reports claimed that its traditional function keys will be replaced with an OLED Touch bar. Even without official announcements from Apple, insiders have gone as far as confirming this detail. This will supposedly provide haptic user feedback and will be placed at the upper part of the keyboard.
MacBook Pro 2016 has also been positioned as the must-have laptop for gamers. This is because of its reported AMD Polaris graphics chipset that aims to deliver superior gaming and video playback capabilities. However, other insiders are claiming that the new model will be powered with Intel?s seventh generation Kaby Lake chipset.
The laptop will reportedly have USB-C ports that will allow faster charging and data transfers. The MacBook Pro 2016 will also supposedly have three color variants, such as blue, silver and gold.
Lastly, the Touch ID fingerprint recognition system found on iPhones and iPads will also be integrated onto the new MacBook.
As for the MacBook Pro 2016 release date, rumors have been pointing to a September 2016 launch.
