Regardless if you have a high-end computer or a very powerful mobile device, nothing will ever beat the nostalgic feel of playing old video games that you used to love when you were young. (Or if you?re somebody who is curious about how awesome videogames were in the past).

There are dozens of emulators available for both PC and Mobile devices, but not all of them actually works like the way you want them to. Some are great and a huge number of them are just pure garbage and a waste of space. (Some are even packed with malicious viruses, which isn?t very cool)

We list down the best possible emulators and what console or platform you can emulate with them. All these so that you can play, what is supposed to be impossible, with your current setup on either your computer or mobile device.

DraStic DS Emulator (Android)

This emulator is for Android devices. It is one of the best, if not the best, Nintendo DS emulators out there, that plays a large variety of DS games in a very acceptable speed/frame rate. It is a bit pricey though with a price tag of $7.99, but it?s worth it because you get to play your classic Nintendo backups with it.

FPse PlayStation Emulator (Android)

It is probably the best PlayStaion 1 emulator in Google PlayStore. Unlike ePSXe for Android, FPse offers more flexibility and control on how you want to play. It also has a huge number of PS1 games supported. It is a bit hard to figure out at first, but once you get the hang of things, it?ll be the best PlayStation 1 experience on the mobile that you will get. It is relatively cheap for a price of $3.63

My Boy Gameboy Advanced Emulator (Android)

The most popular emulator for the android. It is very stable, compatible with a large number of games, feature-packed and looks beautiful. Need we say more? Check it out for yourself at Google Playstore. It is currently $4.99.

Dolphin Wii and Gamecube Emulator (PC)

For more serious gamers who would like to try out Gamecube and Wii. Both mentioned consoles showcases a large variety of Nintendo goodness, and Dolphin makes that possible for any decent to modern PC owner. Players can use Xbox 360 controllers, keyboard and mouse, and the Wii-mote itself, to play games with Dolphin. If these aren?t cool, I don?t know which is.? Dolphin is free.

PCSX2 PlayStation 2 Emulator (PC)

PlayStation 2 is the MOST popular 6th generation console. Possibly, the most popular console in the entire history of video games, and PCSX2 lets us relive the glorious PS2 days we had with great quality. It is very stable and rich in feature and customization to fit one?s needs. One thing to note is, it is a power-hogger, so you will need a good computer in order to run games on PCSX2 at acceptable speeds. The software is free, but you need to find the PS2 games on your own.
