The South Korean device maker has has just announced a new promotional campaign for its upcoming 2015 flagship, the LG G4. As part of this move, the company will distribute 4,000 G4 models to select people from 15 countries as part of a public testing program.

In an apparent effort to get consumers talking about its new handset before its official launch, LG says it?s going to hand out 4,000 G4 devices so they can ?test drive? the latest handset.
This campaign kicked off in LG?s native South Korea on Wednesday and will be coming in the next few days to lucky LG fans in the Turkey, Indonesia, Singapore, United States, China, India, Brazil, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Mexico, Japan, and Hong Kong.
The LG G4 is the successor to the company?s present flagship model, the LG G3, which helped LG gain record smartphone sales for the third quarter of 2014. However, LG may have to face a greater challenge this year as Apple and Samsung have upped the ante with their own feature-packed models, the iPhone 6 and Galaxy S6, respectively.
Juno Cho, President and CEO of LG Mobile, mentioned, “We’re putting the success of LG G4 in the hands of consumers before the launch because we believe they are the best judge of a great user experience, beyond just benchmarks and speed tests.”
How to ?test drive? the new LG G4 before launch
The LG G4 will be launched at several events worldwide on April 28th. Now, there?s a chance for you to can get your hands on the new flagship before it hit store shelves. Details on how to apply as a participant in this program will be posted shortly on local LG sites for the said countries.
LG said in its news release: “Participants will be selected from applicants based on their entry responses (selection criteria may vary in each market). Unsurprisingly, you may increase your chances of being selected by sharing your ?application experience? on sites like Facebook, Twitter, and Weibo. So you?ll probably have to be really nice about it. If successful, you will get an LG G4 for up to 30 days to test it out all you want and even be given various assignments to complete with prizes being awarded.
