LG V20 Release Date In September with Andorid 7.0

By on

LG finally confirmed the launch of V20 yesterday. Following their major teaser last week, it seems that plans for the supposed V10 update are finally pushing ahead.

After publishing their very positive Q2 of 2016 numbers, LG have hinted that they are indeed planning on revisiting their V10 design and further improving it. This decision was brought about by the fact that the V10 is currently LGs leading smartphone flagship.

According to Juno Cho, president of LG Electronics and Mobile Communications Company, the LG V20 will build on the good features of the current V10 model plus more. It will also be able to maximize the operating systems by taking advantage of the new features of Android Nougat. Consumers can expect a fully immersive gaming experience thanks to Vulcan-supported graphics. Battery performance is also being looked at on the new design. They will also be introducing a new feature called Direct Reply. This enables users to respond quickly to messages as well as update tasks with the use of the notification interface.

?We are excited to offer the first phone in the world to feature Nougat out of the box,? said Cho. ?The LG V20 upgrades and extends its predecessor?s cutting-edge multimedia features a step further, providing distinctive mobile experience and sets a new standard for premium phones for consumers.?

Speculations have been circulating about the purported specifications for the V20. One of which is LG finally ditching their removable battery design. A faster processor and bigger RAM are also predicted to crop up.

Some of the current V10 features will probably remain with this product refresh. One of which is the dual selfie camera capability. Another one is the dual screen since they hinted about Direct Reply.

LG began collaborating with Goggle back in 2009 with the release of the LG GW620. From then on, the two companies worked closely together to release the Nexus series of smartphone. Starting with Nexus 4 up to the most recent Nexus 5X.

This announcement puts the V20 as the first ever smartphone to feature the new Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. V20 shipping will commence in Q3 of 2016.
