LG G6 Will Be Less Expensive: Here’s Why

By on

The LG G6 is likely to be cheaper than the LG G5. The main reason is for the phone to attract more and more customers.

The LG G5 was not able to gain great profit for the company. This because the phone was branded as a device for rich customers. LG does not want to make the same mistake again.

A market analyst called Kim Dong-won speculates that LG will loot the handset market with the LG G6. The price of LG G6 will be less than that of the G5. The upcoming phone will not carry the modular design of G5, according to BGR.

LG G5 Features and Price

LG G6 packs a 5.3-inch quad HD display. It will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM. This phone will be the first LG device to pack a Snapdragon 835 processor.

There will be a 16-megapixel main camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. LG is also planning to include a dual camera feature like that of the iPhone 7 Plus.

The device will be equipped with a removable battery and also Quick Charge 4.0. Even with just a 5-minute charging, it can already work for five hours.

LG G6 Launch Is Near?

LG chief technologist Skott Ahn has already confirmed that LG is planning to unveil a new phone soon. LG is likely to prefer the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 in launching the LG G6.

The MWC 2017 will take place in  Barcelona in the coming month. Initially, the LG G6 will be available in North America, Europe and South Korea.

The buyers who are in China can place the order online. The phone is likely to be within the price range of $500 to $600, according to The Wall Street Journal. The LG G6 was expected at the recently-concluded Consumer Electronics Show (CES)  2017. Instead, LG launched the Hub Robot, a personal assistant style robot at the event.

LG has great expectations on the LG G6. LG witnessed a 23% drop in quarterly sales after launching the G5 phone. The brand had invested a lot to promote the LG G5. Keep visiting TheBitBag for more updates.
