The LG G5 was one of the most unique smartphones to be released this year. Its capability to be used with exciting modular accessories has certainly captured the attention of countless smartphone fans. Unfortunately, the LG G5 was outshined by Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, which released at almost the same time. This time around, the South Korean electronics company is reportedly planning to have the LG G6 release happen earlier to avoid the same issue.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge as well as the LG G5 were all unveiled during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016. It is one event where countless of tech fans congregate to see the latest in mobile tech that companies have to offer. With so many products launching, standing out though can be very tough.
LG G6 Release Could Happen Earlier
This could be one reason why recent reports are saying that the LG G6 release could happen earlier. According to Android Authority, one of the big reasons for this is for LG to get a head start on its rival Samsung.

According to the same report, LG could be launching its next flagship smartphone a full month earlier than its predecessor. Looking back, the LG G5 was announced at MWC 2016 in February, but it went on sale only in April. This time around, the LG G6 could hit the shelves as early as February 2017.
LG G6 vs Samsung Galaxy S8
This would certainly give the LG G6 a month?s head start against the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Edge. Both are expected to again be launched during MWC 2017, so it will likely be unveiled in late February or early March.
LG has a lot riding on the G6 so it may be taking extra measures to secure any advantage it can get. Selling it ahead of Samsung?s next flagship smartphones would certainly be a step in the right direction.
