The LG G5 is one of the most awaited smartphones which has yet to be released. It wowed the crowd during its launch during the Mobile World Congress 2016 as it introduced modularity in a smartphone. The only question that is on the minds of people right now is when exactly tech enthusiasts will be able to get their hands on it. If the early rumors are true everyone may not have to wait too long after all as news just surfaced that reveal April 1st as the potential release date of the LG G5 in the United States.
According to Android Authority, US cellular carriers will reportedly start releasing the revolutionary phone on April 1st. While some may think that this is only an early April Fool?s joke, previous reports did have the latest LG flagship smartphone releasing in April so there could be something to it.
In a report by Droid-Life, the site was told by LG that the G5 will be launching in the US in ?early April? but the South Korean electronics giant didn?t really give additional details as to what day or week it will be releasing. The same report also notes that pre-orders will open for the LG G5 starting on March 28 which makes an April 1 US launch very doable.
According to the same Droid-Life report, prices for the LG G5 is expected to be $636 without a contract or $199 on a 2-year contract. While this report has not been confirmed by the US cellular companies yet, it can at least give us an idea about what the upcoming smartphone will cost.
It remains to be seen if the April 1 release date is true but I guess we can just wait for more details which will surely surface in the next few weeks. Make sure to check back here again soon to find out the latest news and updates about the LG G5 as well as other smartphones which will be releasing soon.
