Many phones from Lenovo like the Lenovo A6000, Vibe X2 and other smartphones?are about to receive an Android 5.0 Lollipop update this Q2 2015
The updates are now rolling in! From Windows 10 live beta to rumors for iOS 9 and now, manufacturers are now making their way for the coming of Android?s latest update, the Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Recently, Lenovo has released their lineup of phones that are set to receive the highly anticipated Android 5.0 Lollipop update.
Lenovo A6000, Vibe X2 and many other phones from Lenovo will receive an Android 5.0 Lollipop update
There are currently 7 Lenovo phones that are set for the Android 5.0 Lollipop update this year and they are:
- Lenovo A5000
- Lenovo A6000
- VIBE X2 (or also known as Lenovo X2)
- VIBE Z2
- VIBE Z2 (Lenovo K920)
These phones are currently running on Android Kitkat 4.4 and are the first ones to receive the Lollipop update from Lenovo.
Just a note from the manufacturer, all the phone models you will see above can only be upgraded if it was bought from retails markets. Lenovo phones bought from operators customized or contract models are not covered by the update.
As for the other phones, there?s still no announcement yet for the addition of smartphones that will also receive the update.

The release date for the Lollipop update for the Lenovo phones mentioned above are still kept well hidden. The only news we know so far is that they will release it sometime this Quarter 2, 2015. There?s no announcement yet about the actual date but one thing to take note though, as posted on their website, ?The actual “Released Date” date may change.? So that means that, there?s still a chance that this might get pushed back a few more months or maybe earlier that what some of us might expect.
This is wonderful news and Android fans are probably excited to try out the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop once it is released..
