Legends of Tomorrow season 2 will start soon and a released synopsis for episode 1 has detailed the role of Oliver Queen.
The Arrow ? The Flash spinoff will start its sophomore season with Queen, played by Arrow star Stephen Amell. He will be assisting a new character named Dr. Nate Heywood. Actor Nick Zano will portray the said role, who has been described as an unconventional and charming historian.
Nate and Oliver?s mission
While on a mission to save the world, they will discover that the Legends are scattered throughout time. Nate will seek out the Green Arrow to help him rescue the team of heroes and rogues from season 1.
The unveiled synopsis also expounds on the revelation made by executive producer Marc Guggenheim. He mentioned during San Diego Comic-Con that Nate is actually on the set of Arrow when fans will see him for the first time.
The details about Legends of Tomorrow season 2 premiere did not mention how the Legends will be located by Nate and Oliver. However, it did hint that the two will be successful in their mission.
New generation of time masters
Furthermore, the new generation of time masters will be reunited during the said episode.
?Once reunited, the Legends continue their new mission to protect the timeline from temporal aberrations,? a portion of the synopsis read. It added that these deviations will include ?unusual changes to history that spawn potentially catastrophic consequences.?
With their reunification, the Legends? first task will be to prevent Albert Einstein from being kidnapped in 1942. This will be before New York City will be destroyed by the Nazis using a nuclear bomb.
Ray, played by Brandon Routh, will discover the solo mission of Sara (Caity Lotz). This will lead him to help her face a nemesis named Damien Darhk, played by Neal McDonough.
