The video is for the new upcoming Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild game. With the damaged state that the Temple of Time is seen in the video, one can?t help but feel that this as a critical foreshadowing for the upcoming plot.
The Temple of Time is an important landmark in the Legend of Zelda series. The Temple of time is known to be the home of Master sword. ?In Ocarina of Time, the temple served a critical role in the plot by acting as the catalyst that allowed the hero to travel through time.
The new footage shows the Temple of Time in a devastated state far different from its usual magnificent state in previous Zelda titles. The Temple of Time still has the same architectural design found in older titles. However, it is important to note that it appears to no longer be found near Hyrule Castle and the town near it. ?The footages shows an imagery that implies that the Temple of Time has undergone the wears and tears of a great passing of time or conflict. Debris could be found all over the scenery. Nature appears to have started to reclaim the structure as vines have begun to take over the walls. Moreover, something has caused the destruction of a large part of the roof.
Forbes? has speculated that Breath of the Wild will be set in a post-apocalyptic future of Hyrule is starting to look more and more plausible with this new reveal. The Temple of Time has been seen in a previous video showcased earlier in E3 this year. We can only guess that the iconic structure will once again play an important role in Link?s new adventure in Breath of the Wild.
