The E3 2016 brought with it many pleasant surprises, but fans couldn?t overlook the non-announcement with regards to the The Last of Us 2. With the success of the The Last of Us, fans were expecting to hear something about the second installment in the franchise.
There has been a lot of confusion surrounding whether or not would the sequel roll out, but gamers are positive that it will land. As had been noted by CinemaBlend, Nolan North the voice actor who plays David in the title mistakenly revealed, ?For now I know they’re doing Last of Us 2, but my character in Last of Us kind of met an untimely demise.? Other little slips by developer Naughty Dog as well as Neil Druckmann, the creative director for The Last Of Us, keeping plot details tightly under wraps has convinced many that the studio is hard at work on the title.
However, contrary reports have surfaced with Crossmap sharing that Druckmann gave a ?50/50? when questions about the possibility of The Last Of Us 2 happening. It turns out that the studio wants to deliver a story that is worthy of sharing and not just a redo of what they did the first time around. It is clear that the studio is probably caught up working on the Uncharted 4 single-player DLC. The work happening for Uncharted 4 DLCs had many believe that the studio won?t be announcing another game at E3, this early on but avid gamers are always hopeful.
There is no way anyone can put a finger on the release date of the title, just as there is no way to ascertain whether the game in question will be released. However, with the tips and evidence around, many aficionados may point at sometime during 2018. It?s a wait and watch game now.
Check back for more updates and keep one eye out for details on whether or not The Last of Us 2 will arrive.
