How does Naughty Dog plan to improve The Last of Us 2 Multiplayer component? The Factions mode introduced by the first game was a pleasant surprise that succeeded in terms of both narrative and gameplay. The concept of leading your faction/clan through a 12-week gauntlet really helped flesh out the game?s post-apocalyptic setting. The mode also managed to successfully translate the survival elements of the single player, such as crafting and resource management, into a fun and satisfying PvP experience.
What Do You Want To See In The Last Of Us 2 Multiplayer?
Now that a sequel has officially been announced, fans have begun drafting their wish lists for The Last of Us 2 Multiplayer. A lot of players say that Naughty Dog should take an ?if it ain?t broke, don?t fix it? approach to Factions. Since the original was such a success, why complicate things by tinkering with it too much?
?All they should do is expand on the existing MP without doing drastic overhauls. Add weapons, 5v5, another faction that you can choose from (military?), allow “multi” shiv assassinations if both enemies are looking away and next to each other (make them very rare but doable), use environment for melee (like SP), and improve netcode. Keep the changes simple but expand on what exists,? writes Reddit user Joncology in The?Last of Us Factions subreddit.
This sentiment was echoed in a similar thread on the?PS4 subreddit. The only noticeable request was to do away with paid DLC.
?They badly need to do away with the paid weapons. It was a massive sh*t stain on an otherwise exceptional and unqiue experience and completely unacceptable for a full price game,? says user Crack-The-Skye.
