Last Of Us 2 At E3 2016? Where’s Naughty Dog?

Last of Us 2

One of the biggest surprises during the Sony conference at E3 was the Crash Bandicoot HD collection, which will include the first three PSOne games for the PlayStation 4. While that was a nice moment, some fans were shocked at the fact that Naughty Dog wasn?t present for the announcement, with some now wondering if they will appear at E3 later on with The Last of Us 2.

Fans originally thought that one of the games was going to be The Last of Us 2 due to the presence of zombies, but that ended up being Days Gone. Unlike Naughty Dog?s magnum opus, Days Gone is an open-world survival game, which looks like a fun title to play, especially since there will be a ton of places to explore.

While Naughty Dog?s absence might have worried gamers, it still seems like Sony had a great E3 show. The company showcased a ton of new IPs, and The Last Guardian now has a release date, so it?s not all bad. There is also the new God of War game, which was clearly inspired by The Last of Us.

Naughty Dog is probably still busy working on the Uncharted 4 single-player DLC. The company promised a mix of multiplayer and single-player content, a bunch of which will come out next year. Uncharted 4 is currently one of the biggest PS4 success stories of the year, thanks to how conclusive it was for the series? overall story, though the fun gameplay and great voice acting also helped.

If the PlayStation 4 is getting The Last of Us 2, it won?t be anytime soon. Admittedly, E3 is full of surprises, so you never know when a special attraction will come, but the fact that Naughty Dog missed the PlayStation conference is a big sign that we will not be seeing the sequel to the acclaimed survival horror game just yet, if at all.

Will we see The Last of Us 2 during E3? It seems unlikely because such a big game would most likely get unveiled at Sony?s E3 Conference Then again, the event has been filled with surprises thus far, so who knows?
