Lamar Odom remains on life support and in a coma Thursday in a Las Vegas hospital, but a source close to him told that Odom has continued to make small progress over the past 24 hours. People close to Odom remain hopeful that he didn’t suffer significant brain damage in the hours before he arrived at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, reported ESPN.
Odom was rushed to the hospital Tuesday after being found unconscious at a brothel outside Las Vegas. On Wednesday, a Nevada sheriff said the person who called 911 said Odom recently had used cocaine and had taken sexual-performance enhancers.
CNN?reports that, the manager of the brothel, Love Ranch in Crystal, Nevada, says Odom was there to get far away from something.
In three days, Odom spent $75,000 there, the price that guaranteed two women would take care of any of his needs, owner Dennis Hof told CNN’s sister network HLN.
He used cocaine on his first day at the brothel Saturday, employees told 911 dispatchers, according to authorities. On a 911 call played at a news conference, a woman said she also saw him take 10 herbal supplement tablets over three days.
The brothel’s employees also told 911 operators that when they found him Tuesday, Odom was lying in bed on his side with a pinkish fluid coming from his mouth and nose.
Lamar Odom’s two children, daughter Destiny, 17, and 13-year-old son Lamar Jr.,13, have released a statement asking for prayers for their father.
In a statement the pair said, ?Thanks for your outpouring of prayers and support for our dad. We are here with our family and friends. We appreciate everyone respecting our privacy at this time. We ask for your continued prayers,? reports People.
Odom’s children arrived in Las Vegas accompanied by their mother Liza Morales on Wednesday night. Morales and Odom were together for 10 years before ending their relationship in 2008.
