Kurt Cobain–His Legend And Tragic Death

By on

Kurt Cobain has been dead for more than two decades now, but the music that he created with Nirvana continues to serve as an inspiration for the present generation?s youth and rising rock bands. Let us re-live Cobain?s legend and how his life ended tragically.

Legend?s Story Unfolds

Drawing on the hardships that he experienced while growing up, with his parents? divorcing and his troubles with the police while he was transferring from one home to another, Cobain settled for calling the band that he formed in 1988 Nirvana, and thus started the music artist?s legacy.

The first single of the group, Love Buzz, was released by Sub Pop Records, a small independent label. A year after, the band released an album called Bleach but it did not have a big impact on their listeners, although, it showcased the rising talents of Cobain as a songwriter.

During Nirvana?s partnership with Sub Pop, Cobain felt they were being mistreated as they believed the label was more focused in promoting other groups such as Soundgarden and Mudhoney. It did not take a long before Cobain was considered as one of the best songwriters of his era. But, as the group gained a lot of attention and was in their prime, it also created a pressure on Cobain. He began over thinking about the future of the band and how their music was being received by their listeners. This problem had then resulted to Cobain?s heroin use, which was probably one of the factors that led him to his tragic death.

The End of a Legacy

Despite the huge success of Nirvana, Cobain was having troubles with his personal life, especially with his wife, Courtney Love. He began using different drugs to escape from all the problems and also to ease his frequent chronic stomach problems.

On March 4, 1994, Cobain was rushed to a hospital in a coma after trying to commit suicide by overdosing himself with drugs. Cobain survived that but two weeks later, his wife called the police to report that her husband was suicidal. Cobain had locked himself inside a cabinet with some guns and some medication, and when the police arrived, they confiscated the firearms for the safety of the family.

On April 5, 1994, shortly after the cabinet incident, Cobain was found…
