Holiday season always brings in joy and happiness to us every year, why not change it to horror and suspense as a frightening legend is about to come true with the upcoming movie ?Krampus.? Universal pictures bring us a hair-raising new trailer that will surely darken our Christmas spirits, according to Wired.

The upcoming movie introduces us to the legend of ?Krampus,? a horned creature who punishes children who misbehaves, clearly the opposite of our favorite Santa Claus. He?s also known to take presents from children, and in some cases, if the children are really naughty, he?ll take them as well and take them to his lair and eat them for his Christmas dinner. As for the trailer, it sets up the story of a young boy giving up on Christmas and ?losing the holiday spirit? when his dysfunctional family ruins Christmas day, causing Krampus to emerge and murder the family.

Check out the plot summary from IMDB:

?When his dysfunctional family clashes over the holidays, young Max is disillusioned and turns his back on Christmas. Little does he know this lack of festive spirit has unleashed the wrath of Krampus: a demonic force of ancient evil intent on punishing non-believers. All hell breaks loose as beloved holiday icons take on a monstrous life of their own, laying siege to the fractured family?s home and forcing them to fight for each other if they hope to survive.?

The Christmas movie will star Toni Collette, Emjay Anthony, Adam Scott, David Koechner, Conchata Ferell, and other amazing celebrities that will be making up the family trapped all together for a Christmas dinner to remember. The new movie will be directed by Michael Dougherty (TRICK R? TREAT) together with scriptwriters Todd Casey and Zach Shields while Legendary?s Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni, and Alex Garcia will be producers for the film, shared by Wired.

?Krampus? will terrorize theaters on December 4, 2015.
