KONOSUBA, also known as ?Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!? has been confirmed for its second season, shortly after its tenth episode was aired, FandomPost reports. Kurone Mishima, illustrator of the light novel KONOSUBA, expressed his delight over the news by revealing a new illustrated image of the series.
Animated at Studio DEEN, the series is currently under the supervision of Kouichi Kikuta for the character designs, with Takaomi Kansaki as the director of scripts. The series anime will also undergo three types of releases, wherein the ten episode will receive a five volume release. For its Blu ray and DVD release, each will be priced at 7,600 yen and 6,600 yen subsequently.
The characters on the upcoming season 2 of the ?Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!? include Takuya Eguchi as Kyouya Mitsurugi, Jun Fukushima as Kazuma Satou, Ai Kayano as Raratina Dustiness Ford, Ayaka Suwa as Chris, Rie Takahashi as Megumin and more.
The KONOSUBA series started as a book in 2013. Originally illustrated by Mishima Kurone, Akatsuki Natsumie poured in his writing talent to produce eight volumes to this date. In September of 2014, the series underwent manga adaptation under the illustrations of Masahito Watari. The manga adaptation eventually sealed the deal in eventually turning the series into an anime version.
According to the Anime News Network, the first anime adaptation of the series was premiered on January 13, and on Thursday wraps up the 10th and final episode of the first season. Crunchyroll will host the streaming of the final episode, once it airs in Japan.
KONOSUBA?s story concept is about a boy named Kazuma Sato, whose life was cut short by a traffic accident. Upon returning to his consciousness, a self-proclaimed goddess gives him a chance to live another life in a different world, but he can only bring one companion with him. Kazuma will then bring the goddess with him and they start exploring the other side of the world.
