Kizumonogatari Trilogy: Part II: Nekketsu-hen screens this August 2016

Earlier this year, Shaft Studios and directors Tatsuya Oishi and Akiyuki Shinbo, gave us a visually stunning and mind blowing prequel to the ?Monogatari? series called Kizumonogatari I: Tekketsu. Written by NisiOisin and illustrated by Vofan (light novel), Tekketsu is part 1 of the trilogy.

Kizumonogatari (Trilogy) begins with the story of Araragi and his encounter with the vampire, Kiss-shot Acerola-Orion Heart-Under-Blade who changes his life one night. Kiss-shot was dying and in order to live, she begged for the Araragi?s blood. When Araragi offered himself, the very next moment he wakes as her vampire kin.

Now prepare to reopen wounds as Kizumonogatari II: Nekketsu-hen nears its screening date this August 19 in Japan. Nekketsu-hen follows Araragi?s quest to become human again by helping Kiss-shot restore her full powers. Expect to see more action scenes as Araragi, Kiss-shot and Oshino come face to face with the vampire hunters: Dramaturgie, Episode, and Guillotinecutter. Here’s the trailer.

There is no official news yet for the exact screening date of the final movie, Kizumonogatari III: Reiketsu-ken, but reports say it would definitely be this year as well.

If you are not a fan of the Monogatari Series, there is a high chance that you will be, after seeing even just the first movie. Those who have seen Tekketsu, gave it an 8.48 rating in MyAnimeList. Most of them also agree that the movie is a masterpiece trilogy in the making. Everything about the first movie was just breathtaking – ?the art is outstandingly original and impeccable as they mixed realistic CG with 2D animation in a way we have never seen before. Also, the injection of humor is so spot on that viewers will surely enjoy the play on emotions. Seeing Kizumonogatari in theaters is highly recommended and definitely worth it.?Kizumonogatari
