Kingdom Hearts 3 release date rumors abound. Nobody could blame them as this is one of the most anticipated games this year in the recently-concluded E3 2016. Even after E3, fans still can?t wait for the game.
Fans have some questions about the series. Fan rumor has it that Kingdom Hearts 2.8 is just delaying Kingdom Hearts 3. Also, having a different main character other than Sora, fans feel that there is no connection between the two. But as pointed out by an earlier Bitbag article, fans should not skip Kingdom Hearts 2.8 as it is a very important piece for the whole mythology of the game. Kingdom Hearts 2.8 is scheduled to come out this December.
GameNGuide was keen to read into some E3 2016 small talk for some hints on Kingdom Hearts 3. The game?s co-director Tai Yasue iterated that it is quite important for fans to have the feel for both the gameplay and storyline of Kingdom Hearts 2.8 before they jump to Kingdom Hearts 3. In 2.8, players will be using Aqua, a Keyblade Master, for the most part of the game.
Yasue revealed that playing as Aqua in Kingdom Hearts 2.8 will give gamers a different take of the game by the time Kingdom Hearts 3 is released. Aqua?s story will include sorrow and torment–something that gamers would experience in Kingdom Hearts 2.8. This is quite important because Aqua?s story is intertwined with that of Sora?s in Kingdom Hearts 3. If one decides to skip on 2.8 and decides to jump on Kingdom Hearts 3, that particular someone would not get the full experience designed by the creators.
It has also been revealed that there is no delay with Kingdom Hearts 3. Yasue revealed that the game is technically on schedule even with Kingdom Hearts 2.8 in the horizon. Yasue also revealed that developing the two games at the same time is just following the orders of the game.
So, Square Enix has this locked down. Don?t worry about anything as they are on top of it. Stay tuned for more updates.
