Square Enix has announced another compilation for the Kingdom Hears series, this time for the PlayStation 4.
This was during the Sony Press Conference at the pre-show of Tokyo Game Show 2015, where the PlayStation brand announced some portion of their reveals at the event, and one of them was for Kingdom Hearts. Although there were rumors that spread of an alleged leak from an employee on their LinkedIn account, so far this one fits the bill.
Kingdom Hearts 2.8: Final Chapter Prologue will be available for the PlayStation 4, but if you are wondering if this is the same HD remastered games for the PlayStation 3, we?ll half wrong. Kingdom Hearts 2.8: Final Chapter Prologue will feature three titles from the Kingdom Hearts series in a single compilation, this include the Dream Drop Distance in HD remaster form, this also includes the cutscenes from Unchained X which will be titled as Back Cover; this sets to tell the story of the Foretellers and new revealing plots for the series? history. And finally the final part is Birth by Sleep 0.2 ? A Fragmentary Passage, where it focuses on the lead character Aqua from the Birth by Sleep game as she tells her perspective on the events after the story in the original game.
The trailer for the said game will be available later in the Tokyo Game Show on September 17. Most likely the compilation will stay as a PlayStation 4 release despite not releasing another remaster compilation for Kingdom Hearts 1.5 and 2.5 HD Remix for the same platform like the similar treatment they made for Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD from the PlayStation 3/Vita then ported again to the PlayStation 4. So far no mentions of any release dates for Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue but it is most likely that they will reveal it on the upcoming trailer.
