Recently, Atlus and SNK has confirmed that the next King of Fighters 14 DLC character is Ryuji Yamazaki. Unlike Whip, Yamazaki is definitely a dangerous character and is noted to be resistant to the Orochi, the game’s evil powers. Here’s what we know about the second King of Fighters 14 DLC character.
As seen on the new King of Fighters 14 trailer, the next DLC character is confirmed to be Yamazaki. In his previous King of Fighters appearances, Yamazaki is considered to be a strong character whose fighting style involves capitalizing on his ability to inhumanly stretch his arms, brawl and whip up extremely hard moves. Yamazaki was not playable in the previous King of Fighters 13 entry. Fans who know Yamazaki or players who want a hard hitting character may find him enjoyable in this iteration.
Yamazaki still relies on the same hand-stretching, sadistic, and heavily improvised brawling fighting style as he did in previous titles. His featured special moves may allow Yamazaki to have some reliable zoning tools while also having moves to fight in close-quarters. Due to his immense strength and good zoning moves, Yamazaki can be a good anchor character that players need to defeat last to win against.
King of Fighters 14 DLC So Far
Previously, Whip was revealed as the first King of Fighters 14 DLC character. Whip is usually a member of the Team Ikari Warriors along with Leona, Ralf, and Clark. As seen in the trailer, she’s fairly neutral with Yamazaki despite his personality which could mean they’re teammates in this tournament.
After Whip and Yamazaki, there are still one or two characters left to be revealed as the next King of Fighters 14 DLC. One unrevealed character seems to have his back turned away from viewer and another set of legs can be seen still seen in the image. The fans already have some speculations for who these two characters are.
Potentially, the character with his back turned from the viewer could be Rock Howard, Geese’s son. He’s known for his mix of moves of between Geese Howard, his true father, and Terry Bogard, his father figure. Moreover, Rock Howard’s famous win pose is where he turns his back toward the viewers and briefly sprouts wings made from his power’s energies.
Lastly, the other unrevealed characters is hardly distinguishable due to their odd positioning in the picture. However, fans heavily speculate that Blue Mary will make it as a King of Fighters 14 character. In her previous appearances, she’s one of the grappler characters outside Goro Daimon and Clark Still. Currently, we’ll have to wait for the next King of Fighters 14 announcement to know who these upcoming DLC characters truly are.
