The various participants in the tournament competed online over the course of the last few months and the semifinal round had recently been completed.

The Comic-Con International 2014 will be held in San Diego and Microsoft will be flying the 11 finalists there for the in person finals of the competition. The winner of the whole competition will receive the grand prize of $10,000, second place grabs $5,000, third place gets $2,500, and fourth place gets $1,000. As if the grand prize money wasn?t enough, the champion will also be getting a trip for two to Bora Bora, Machu Picchu, the Great Wall of China, or the Swiss Alps.

In terms of scheduling, the final round will be taking place from 11am to 8pm PT this coming Saturday, July 26, in the Xbox Gamers Lounge at the Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego.

Kinect Sports Rivals starts off by scanning and capturing the players? likeness as a champion so there is an accurate as possible virtual representation of the player. The game description reads: ?Kinect Sports Rivals re-imagines your favorite sports and delivers new ones not possible before. Carve waves in Wake Racing, scale cliffs in Climbing, or take aim at Target Shooting. Fans of the world’s game will love a new Soccer, while anyone can get on the ball with Tennis and Bowling. And they all happen in the rolling ship’s graveyard of the Abandoned Harbor, or the forbidding valleys and towers of the Stone Forest.?
