By on

Kim Kardashian, 35, became the center of controversy after posting a naked selfie on her Instagram account on March 7. The world famous mother of two got stark naked for her Instagram selfie, which she captioned “when you’re like I have nothing to wear lol.”

The photo has two black bars covering the more private parts of Kim?s body, though many believed the black bars were in place because the site wouldn’t allow such a graphic image.

Kim, who is the wife of famous rapper Kanye West, drew lots of criticism for the nude photo and sparked a divide among celebrities with some calling her out and some choosing to defend her move. Check out below who said what on the contentious issue.

Bette Midler started a feud with Kim which later drew a number of celebrities into the twitter debate issues about woman empowerment, according to Daily Mail.

Midler tweeted…

To which Kim replied…

But Midler shot back by tweeting on Tuesday morning…

Meanwhile, Chloe Moretz (The Equalizer) tweeted to the reality star, telling her that she had a responsibility to be a better role model to young women.

?I truly hope you realize how important setting goals are for young women, teaching them we have so much more to offer than just our bodies,? the 19-year-old actress wrote.

Kim responded …

Kim chose to highlight Moretz?s semi-nude cover in the Nylon magazine?s December/January 2015-2016 issue.

And then talk show host Piers Morgan, tweeted, “I know the old man’s $50 million in debt, Kim — but this is absurd. Want me to buy you some clothes?”

He was apparently referring to the woes of Kanye who had been ranting about his $53 million debt.

Kim had some choice words for him too, “Hey @piersmorgan never offer to buy a married woman clothes. thats on some ashley madison type s–.”

American singer Pink also took a dig at Kim sharing a lengthy post in honour of International Women’s Day, telling her fans not to use their ‘t**s and a**es’ to get ‘attention’.

The pop star wrote ?Shout out to all of the women, across the world, using their brains, their strength, their work ethic, their talent, their “magic” that they were born with, that only they possess…It may not ever bring you as much “attention” or bank notes as using your body, your sex, your t**s and a**es, but women like you don’t need that kind of “attention”.?

Fashion model Amber Rose who previously dated Kim’s husband Kanye jumped to Kim’s defense and said it’s not Pink’s business, writing ?Damn Pink we were all born naked society sexualizes our breast and bodies.?

Amber pointed out how Pink has performed in skimpy outfits, ?Pink, We’ve seen u damn near naked swinging from a rope (Beautifully) but what’s the difference between a rope, a pole and a pic on Instagram? Classism.?

She continued ?Because u sing while ur half naked does that make it “Classy” or is it because u have a “talent”? I’m not dissing at all Pink just curious after u said ?You’ll never have to make a silly excuse for yourself?.?

Demi Lovato took to her Instagram to post a graphic image and stating that women could follow their own choices either dress modestly or nude. The photo read, ?Nudity empowers some. Modesty empowers some. Different things empower different women and it is not your place tell her which one is it.?

Modern Family star Ariel Winter was also on Kim?s side by tweeting that she believed the 35-year-old did nothing wrong comparing the incident to how Justin Bieber posted a nude selfie but didn?t have to face any backlash.

Abigail Breslin, 19, and Bella Thorne, 18, also chose to defend Kim Kardashian. The Scream Queens actress, Thorne, weighed in on the Kim controversy, telling her followers that it?s up to a woman to decide what she does or doesn?t want to share about her body.

Breslin shared similar sentiments with her twitter followers.
