Recently, the Killing Floor 2 update 1.07 has just rolled in on the PS4 version. The new patch only confirms two updates for the Nuked trophy and the Stoner LMG. As for other changes, we’ll have to wait for the next patch.
Yoshiro’s thread on the Tripwire Interactive forums discusses the Killing Floor update 1.07 patch notes. Only two updates were confirmed in the patch notes. Apparently, the Nuked achievement can now be obtained without any issues and the Stoner LMG has been optimized as of this patch. This patch is only effective on Killing Floor 2’s PS4 version.
Nuked Trophy Issues
Before the Killing Floor 2 update 1.07 on the PS4, some players are noticing some issues on obtaining the Nuked achievement on this version. Players weren’t able to obtain the achievement even after getting all the collectibles needed for this trophy. The new patch fixes this issue and allows players to get this achievement without any hitch.
Stoner LMG Optimization
The new patch also optimizes the Stoner 63A LMG but doesn’t mention the details of its changes. Utopia-Phoenix’s thread on the Killing Floor mentions that the Stoner 63A LMG is underwhelming at the moment. The weapon is apparently weaker than most Assault Rifles and is heavy to bring in battles. However, the weapon does have a high rate of fire which can translate to strong overall damage, but its low magazine size hampers this potential.
At best, players found this weapon’s use to be for clearing hordes of enemies rather than as an all-around reliable weapon. Lastly, the Stoner LMG also causes some frame rate drops on use. The new update may have fixed the issues and changed the stats of this large gun.
Killing Floor 2 so far
So far, Killing Floor 2 is doing alright since its official release last November 2016. Players aiming for an experience that involves killing hordes of enemies alone or with friends will like playing Killing Floor 2. For now, fans will have to wait for the next update to fix its other issues or to enjoy new content.
Last March 30th, the Killing Floor 2 developers have also confirmed some future major updates. New weapons, seasonal enemies, voice commands, and a PS4 Killing Floor 2 trading system are considered features. We’ll just have to wait until Tripwire Interactive implements these features.
