Killer clowns have been a hot topic last year after numerous incidents have been recorded by the authorities. Now, this upcoming movie called It is indeed very timely as it will feature a killer clown terrorizing a town and kidnapping kids. Now, the first official trailer of the film is already out and it will surely terrify the viewers.
The upcoming movie is an American supernatural horror flick. It is an adaptation of Stephen King’s 1986 novel that has the same title. Andres Muschietti directed the movie with Chase Palmer, Cary Fukunaga, and Gary Dauberman served as writers. Main actors, on the other hand, are Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise The Dancing Clown and Jaeden Lieberher as Bill Denbrough.
Now, the trailer for the movie adaptation has been released already and it will certainly bring horror to its fans. According to The Guardian, the film is officially dubbed as It: Part 1 – The Losers’ Club, while the second part remains unnamed. For those who have not watched the trailer yet, watch it right here.
‘It’ Part 1 Plot
The first installment of the movie series will feature the story of seven children being terrorized by a being they call “It.” He appears in the form of a clown to attract its young victims. Reports also revealed that the being uses children’s fears and phobias to disguise himself while hunting them. This information alone should be enough to tell how terrifying this upcoming movie is going to be.
As of writing, these are the only information available online. It will haunt cinemas on September 8 and before it rolls out, fans should expect one or two more trailers of the film to hit the web. Since then, the only thing to do is to wait for producers to reveal more details about the movie, as well as some behind-the-scene trivias.
Apparently, this is not the first adaptation of Stephen King’s It. Back in 1990, it was turned into a mini-series that had Tim Curry as Pennywise. IMDB rated it 6.9/10, which is a pretty decent number for a TV series. It is not clear though whether or not the movie will surpass this past IMDB review.
How about you? Do you think It: Part 1 will be as terrifying as what it seems like? Will the film be able to live up to the hype the trailer created? Or, will it again be another disappointing horror film? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
