There?s no possible way to hide the burning question on every Quentin Tarantino fan?s minds: ?Will there be a ?Kill Bill 3??? And with Tarantino finishing his latest ?Hateful Eight? movie, the idea of him planning about the next ?Kill Bill? franchise just keeps you on the edge of your seat.
The director has been circling around town, lately promoting his film, ?The Hateful Eight,? which will hit theaters in an exciting 70mm roadshow format on Christmas Day. But surely fans would know that the favorite outspoken director, when he promotes a film, sparsely talks about the movie alone.
In a video interview with Ben Mankiewicz of What the Flick?!, Tarantino talks about his upcoming film on Christmas day, including a number of issues such as the ?criticism of his use of the n-word on his films? and the recent ?police brutality controversy.? But what really got our interest is the idea of Tarantino making another Kill Bill movie.
?There definitely is a possibility? stop short of saying a probability. But there could be. For one reason in particular? Uma and me would have a really good time working together again. I put the character of Beatrix Kiddo through a lot and I wanted [Kiddo] to have this much time for peace,? Tarantino explained in the video.
He also added that the age of the characters will also change as they have in real life, which he previously talked about. He also shared that Kill Bill was his most ?visionary movie, so it would be ideal to think that he still has a lot to dedicate to ?Kill Bill 3.?
Tarantino also pointed out his interest in directing a possible TV mini-series if the ?circumstances? were right. But although he?s open to a change in direction, the director isn?t keen on the idea about TV apparently being better than film.
?It would be wonderful and I would be happy to do it and it would be a very invigorating experience, but everyone is going down this ?TV is so great? road and I?m only simply pointing out that there is a difference between the two of them,? he added.
But if you really think about the idea of Tarantino making ?Kill Bill 3,? it?s a very real possibility. We just have to wait a little while longer and check in on him once in a while to make sure that he really is going to make the third film.
