Kesha Gets Backing Of Lady Gaga, Other Celebrities After Court Denies Her To Cancel Album Contract

By on

Kesha received another blow in her fight against producer Dr. Luke as a New York City judge has ruled that the pop star?s allegations are not reasonable to ?decimate a contract that was heavily negotiated.? But despite the negative turn of events, Lady Gaga alongside other celebrities showed their support for her.

?You?re asking the court to decimate a contract that was heavily negotiated and typical for the industry,? said New York Supreme Court Justice Shirley Kornreich to Kesha?s lawyer. She also added the she does not understand why she has to ?take the extraordinary measure of granting an injunction.?

Due to the Court of Justice?s decision, Kesha is probably devastated. Fortunately for her, her colleagues and other celebrities are backing her up in this crucial fight for her career. Lady Gaga shared on her twitter account how she supports the popstar. ?There are people all over the world who love you @KeshaRose. And I can say truly I am in awe of your bravery,? said the singer.

Lorde also took on to Twitter to tell Kesha of her stand on the issue. ?Standing with @KeshaRose through this traumatic, deeply unfair time. Send good vibes her away everyone,? the Royals-singer said.

Here are some of the celebrities who also expressed their support for Kesha:

Kesha signed an exclusive contract with Dr. Luke?s Company in 2005, when she was still 18 years old, thus she is not allowed to record songs with other companies. But for the past 10 years, the singer reported that she was raped, continuously abused and drugged by Dr. Luke. That is the reason why the popstar filed a case to have her contract decimated. However, the court decided in favor of Dr. Luke.

The producer has denied the allegations of the singer and described it as ?untrue and deeply hurtful.? Dr. Luke also said that Kesha is just doing this so she can get out of the contract earlier than what has been stipulated.

Although Kesha has already been denied by the court, it is safe to assume that it is not yet over for the popstar. With all these support she is receiving from other celebrities, she certainly gained a new source of strength to continue pushing her claim against the producer Dr. Luke.
