It?s definitely a week of high-profile Hollywood breakups as Showbiz? most beloved couple, Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy finally called it quits.
Through a statement released via social media outlet Facebook, Miss Piggy explained the mutual agreement the ex-couple had over their separation.
?After careful thought, thoughtful consideration and considerable squabbling, Kermit the Frog and moi have made the difficult decision to terminate our romantic relationship. We will continue to work together on television (?The Muppets?/Tuesdays 8pm this fall on ABC) and in all media now known or hereafter devised, in perpetuity, throughout the universe. However, our personal lives are now distinct and separate, and we will be seeing other people, pigs, frogs, et al. This is our only comment on this private matter? unless we get the right offer. Thank you for your understanding.?
Kermit and Miss Piggy has been together for 40 years now, and the news came in light of their new show, The Muppet reboot in ABC. The two got together in 1981, and was married during the movie ?Muppets in Manhattan.?
Kermit Miss Piggy Relationship Over: Backstabbing jabs
Although the two related that they have no qualms working alongside each other, there has been some nasty jabs exchanged between the two.
?”I have no problem working with my ex, OK? It’s fine. You know what? Dating moi is like flying close to the sun. It was inevitable that Kermit would drop down to the ground while I stayed in the heavens,? Miss Piggy said in an interview with Today.
Kermit himself had his own harsh words for the porcine beauty: “We can be professionals. Well, one of us can. Me,” the stately amphibian told The Guardian.
The announcement broke out during a press rounds at the Television Critics Association gathering, and needless to say that it shocked the world.

To which Miss Piggy replied that it was NOT a publicity stunt and to introduce her to Allan’s cute, single friends.
Emily Rossum referred to the newly single Miss Piggy as the new Bachelorette.
Kermit dating again?
As early as now, it seems Kermit has already chosen to move on and reportedly dating yet another pig beauty from ABC.
Replying to a tweet made by Rossum, Kermit said: ?Hi-ho, Emmy! Unfortunately, I?m seeing someone else? Denise. She?s in publicity at the network. She?s sweet, you?d like her!?
