Fans of rapper Kendrick Lamar have been waiting for a new album two years after he released the last one. Luckily, recent rumors suggest that his supporters might not have to wait that long before a new project hits the stores. As teased by the artist himself, it appears like his fourth album would arrive next month.
It was earlier this week when Kendrick Lamar took to Instagram to tease his fans about the coming of his next album. Although he did not actually mention anything about the project, speculations state that the roman numeral “IV”, which he posted online, is a clue that he is now working on his fourth album.
Prior to that post, the rapper already talked about an “urgent” project. According to Lamar, his focus on this album is “ultimately going back to my community and the other communities around the world where they’re doing the groundwork.” This decision came after his realization of how “wayward things have gone within the past few months.”
Kendrick Lamar New Track Released
Now, another proof that a new album is on its way is the new track that the artist dropped on Thursday. He titled it “The Heart Part 4” and it is the first ever solo music of the rapper since he launched his 2016 track “Untitled Unmastered.” As a result, more speculations about the fourth album surfaced online and they are now making sense.
“Don’t tell a lie on me/I won’t tell the truth about you,” says a line in the song. As reported by The Fader, the track would then continue to diss an unnamed rapper and even the current US president, Donald Trump. But, the most interesting part of the song is its last part, which probably dropped the official release date of the album. “Y’all got til April the 7th to get your shit together,” reads the track’s closing line.
If that was indeed a teaser, then fans should expect Kendrick Lamar’s fourth album in the first week of next month. The line also indicates that more diss tracks are included in the album so whoever the rapper was referring to, better brace yourself for the upcoming album. But, keep in mind that these are full of speculations and the artist has yet to confirm anything. So, better take these information with a grain of salt.
