Kendrick Lamar Australia Tour Confirmed: Dates And How To Get Tickets Revcaled

Kendrick Lamar, will visit Australia next March to play two high-scale headline shows while in the country for Bluesfest 2016.

The Compton-bred MC will bring the noise to Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena and Sydney’s Allphones Arena in late March before making his way to Byron Bay for a performance at the 27th annual Bluesfest.

That makes Kendrick another international drawcard for the five-day event, putting him on the bill with The National, City and Colour, The Cat Empire, as well as Noel Gallagher, Tom Jones and The Decemberists.

Tickets for the Sydney and Melbourne shows will go on sale on October 19 at 9:00am AEST with a fan pre-sale starting early on October 16 reports ABC Network.

Helping the hip hop hero bring his mix of rap, funk, soul, and jazz to life will be a live band, a perfect fit for the politically potent, musically ambitious To Pimp A Butterfly ? Kendrick’s third album and easily one of the year’s biggest and most critically adored releases.

Sydney Morning Herald reports that, Lamar, the No. 1 rapper and hip hop artist in the world right now, will join legendary crooner Tom Jones, The National and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds in Byron Bay from March 24.
