News about Junaid Jamshed dead has been circulating online. Latest reports claim that the singer-songwriter is part of the Pakistan plane crash. The news is certainly a cause for panic and fear among Jamshed?s loved ones and fans.

Pakistan International Airlines ?flight PK-661 crashed. Senior police officer Khurram Rasheed said it came down in a village. It was near the town of Havelian. That is approximately 75 kilometres (45 miles) northwest of the capital Islamabad. Jamshed was supposedly onboard the plane.

The PK-661 flight was on its way to the national capitol. Jamshed was supposedly coming home from Chitral. Jamshed is now an Islamic-preacher. He he had gone to Chitral for some preaching work.

The latest reports claim that there are now a total of 48 victims of the plane crash. It is said to be the deadliest plane crash in Pakistan in four years. Among the victims is reportedly Jamshed and there are no official reports yet to say otherwise.

Several people took to social media to express their sadness about the said occurrence. The anguish focuses on the death of Jamshed. Jamshed is popularly known as the vocalist of Vital Signs, a well-known rock and pop band in the 90?s.

Jamshed left his musical career in 2001. He opted to become a travelling evangelist with the conservative Tableeghi Jamaat group. Jamshed obtained the love of fans for being a heartthrob pop sensation, as well as a preacher admonishing youth for straying from Islam.

Security Issues

It is believed that engine trouble has been the main issue. It seems many questions are yet to be answered. Several people are now worried about the safety record of Pakistani International Airlines.

Airline chairman Muhammad Azam Saigol said the ATR-42 aircraft had undergone regular maintenance. That includes an ?A-check? certification that was conducted just this October.

Saigol insisted on making it clear that it was a perfectly sound aircraft. The airline chairman further stated that he thinks there was no technical error or human error. But he assured that there will be a proper investigation.
