Other Anime Footwear Inspiration
Fans know very well that Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is not the first manga or anime to inspire the creation of ingenuos footwear. Lacoste for instance will be releasing shoes from Osamu Tezuka’s Astro Boy manga. K-Swiss and Adidas, on the other hand, were inspired by Neon Genesis Evangelion. Adidas also came up with Captain Tsubasa running shoes. This was credited for the product placement on Honey and Clover anime. Last year, Premium Bandai sold Tiger & Bunny character shoes. While Doc Martin’s and Sanrio collaborated to create high-top boots back in 2010.
