Jared Leto’s Joker was a Joke

The critics have spoken and no one can stop them. The Suicide Squad?s hype is slowly taking a dive down to the bottom for its weak portrayal of characters and hard-to-follow story. What was a superb marketing promotion has now disintegrated to an over-promised blockbuster and having the worst Joker (Jared Leto) interpretation ever.

Fans (or not fans anymore) are taking it to social media to express their frustrations about the movie and Jared Leto?s portrayal of the Joker. In Rotten Tomatoes, Suicide Squad has a score of 26%, which means simply put that the movie is horrible.

Almost everyone could not help but compare Jared Leto to Heath Ledger?s award-winning performance as the Joker in Christopher Nolan?s the Dark Night. Even Esquire, in their recent article on What Makes Heath Ledger?s Joker The Perfect Villain, slams the Suicide Squad movie and Jared Leto?s acting, saying that the movie was shitty, cluttered, and another movie failure from the DC Universe as well as Method Actor Jared Leto?s Joker was an impotent afterthought.

Critics are so brutal. In an Huffington Post article they said, The Joker of ?The Dark Knight? was a terrorist with a cause, whereas the Joker of ?Suicide Squad? is merely a joke. And an uninteresting one, at that.?

Though most lady fans of the movie (or maybe fans of Jared Leto?s hot bod) came to his defense saying that he (Leto) was the best Joker and they could not get over how hot he is. ?

So what did Jared Leto say to all this bashing? In a BBC Radio 1 interview he said, ?I think that I brought so much to the table in every scene, it was probably more about filtering all of the insanity. I wanted to give a lot of options, and I think there?s probably enough footage in this film for a Joker movie.?

Fans are mainly disappointed probably because the trailer showed so much of the Joker and the actual movie gave us an equal amount of Joker screen time – 15 minutes tops! WTH! Hopefully they release Jared Leto?s deleted scenes on the DVD, but who would buy them now? Joke!
