Itchyworms, Ely Buendia Drop ‘Pariwara’ In Spotify; Listen Online To Their First Ever Collaboration

By on

Fans have waited for three good years until Itchyworms and Ely Buendia finally dropped their first ever collaborative single, ?Pariwara? on Spotify. Nothing feels better on rainy days than listening to the song online, along with a cup of coffee.

?Pariwara? has started hitting the airwaves earlier this August. Buendia classified it as a song for the millennials. ?The fresh release combines the best of their sensibilities in writing songs one more time.

According to Buendia, the song had been in his chest of uncompleted ideas since the days of the Eraserheads and it remained untouched until the early months of this year. The song has seen a ray of hope when vocalist Jugs Jugueta asked Buendia if he has any partial songs lying around. It was when the song was handed to the Itchyworms. Jugueta and drummer/vocalist Jazz Nicolas worked on providing more lyrics, as well as a new bridge. Then they did the music video shoot of the collaboration on July 24.

Jugueta exclaimed that the years they have spent waiting for this collaboration to happen were worth it. ?The vocalist admitted that it felt like he was bugging Buendia about it for three years.

Itchyworms had earlier posted a 17-second snippet of the song consisting of an a capella chorus on social media. The snippet, which was shared earlier this month, has earned more than 14,000 views few days since it was posted. Now fans can have all the chance to listen to the entire song on Spotify and even have it saved on your playlists.

Itchyworms Heir to Eraserheads? throne?

Earlier in April, Buendia commended Itchyworms. He said the band is the true heir to the tradition of Eraserheads. Eraserheads is known for a plethora of hits which include ?Ligaya,? ?With a Smile? and ?Minsan,? among others.

The first time that Itchyworms had the chance to work with Buendia was when the latter invited the band to contribute to the Domino debut album, Fair Tales.
