The iPhone 7 is one smartphone that every smartphone fan has been excited about. Even if it is still months away, there is no stopping the rumor mill from churning out news and leaks about the upcoming device. Everyone just wants to know anything and everything about the iPhone 7, which is expected to be released in September this year. Early rumors popped up saying that the iPhone 7 could have a drastic design change that will surely wow everyone. That may appear to have been nothing but a rumor after all as a recent report mentions that the iPhone 7 will have a similar design to that of its predecessor.
According to 9to5Mac, the iPhone 7 is expected to have a similar design to that of the iPhone 6S. They cite a Wall Street Journal report that says the iPhone 7 ?closely resembles the iPhone 6s minus the headphone jack?. The same report mentions though that the Cupertino-based tech giant could have something big in store for 2017 as major design changes are coming next year.
While the iPhone 7 could be very similar to the iPhone 6s, we do know of some differences as early as now. For one, the antenna bands are said to be running across the top, bottom and sides of the device, according to a report from MacRumors. This is clearly an improvement aesthetically as it will result in the back of the iPhone 7 becoming smooth and free of any obstruction. Also, the removal of the headphone jack is certainly going to make the upcoming iPhone unique compared to the iPhone 6s.
