The iPhone 6s and iPad Pro are among the top deals in Apple?s ongoing back-to-school promotion.?The annual campaign kicked off last month, with the Cupertino-based company handing over Beats headphones to Mac buyers.
Many pointed out that the iPhone 6s and iPad Pro?s inclusion in the campaign seemingly hinted at a decline in their sales. This because both devices were not eligible purchases in the exact same seasonal promo that took place this time last year.
The huge discounts in all models in the 2015-2016 iPhone 6 and 6S series could also mean that Apple is making way for the launch of the iPhone 7. The highly coveted phone will reportedly be released this September.
Leaks have been circulating about the iPhone 7?s many features. It is expected to follow the same design pattern of the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus, but the iPhone 7 will be slightly thicker and shorter. A leaked image also showed a larger camera lens.
Circulating photos also showed that the 3.55mm audio output has been removed to make the iPhone 7 thinner and more water resistant. In place of this, Apple will reportedly be providing ear buds that will be plugged into a lightning charging point.
The new iPhones will also reportedly have increased storage for photos, with 32GB as the new starting point. It will also include a 256 GB storage variant. Overall, photo quality is also expected to improve as the 5.5-inch display will supposedly carry twin camera lenses.
Both iPhone 7 and 7 Plus will carry the new A10 chipset. It will also be powered with Apple?s iOS 10, which is reportedly pretty easy to jailbreak.
As for the huge price drop on previous iPad Pro models, some speculate that this could be in preparation for a newer and better version of the said Apple tablet.
There have been rumors that the iPad Pro could soon replace the Macbook Air 2016, with Apple CEO Tim Cook revealing in a recent interview that the high-end tablet is the device that will eventually replace lightweight laptop. If this is true, it would only make sense that Apple would phase out older iPad Pro models to soon unveil a more top-of-the-line model.
