iPad Pro 2017 Rumors: Apple to Debut 10.5-inch iPad Pro Next Year?

By on

iPad Pro 2017 is almost here.

Rumors are speculating that there will be an iPad Pro release in early 2017, an upgraded 12.9 inches iPad Pro along with an inferior 10.5 inches version.

As Ming-Chi Kuo stated:

?Three new iPads are about to be launched in 2017, although this may not increase shipment growth amid structural headwinds. On Fall of 2017 shipments will fall for 10-20%. And if the iPad should come with a larger size, such as a 10.5inches model. It may be helpful to bid for tenders within the commercial and educational markets.?

?We are expecting Apple to launch a 10.5inches iPad Pro in Fall of 2017. In addition, we estimated that the 12.9? iPad Pro 2 and 10.5? iPad pro will adopt a A10X processor with TSMC as ?the sole supplier using a 10-nanometer process technology. The inferior 9.7 inches model may wield the A9x processor which is also exclusively supplied by TSMC?

The 10.5inches iPad Pro version is believed to be for commercial and educational use. Ming-Chi Kuo also stated that this 2018?s iPad will be revolutionary:

Revolutionary iPad model will be introduced in Fall of 2018, with the radical changes when it comes to form factor design and user behavior on adoption of flexible AMOLED panel?

It seems like a redesigned chassis and AMOLED panel will be one of the few changes to expect. A 12MP iSight camera with Live Photos and 5MP front FaceTime HD camera with retina flash is also in talks, while Apple Watch is likely to feature another AMOLED flex.

There is also no talks about the 7.9 inches version of the iPad mini. It seems like consumers might resort to iPhone 7 instead of going for the 7.9 inches iPad mini. Kuo also stated that Apple isn?t ready for a major product updates as it is destined for 2017.

Ming-Chi Kuo is an analyst for KGI securities, his research are often solid look at Apple?s plans. Though he?s not always correct, he made predictions that are accurate enough to be considered as a reliable source for Apple products rumors, like the iPad Pro.
