Apple?s next-generation tablet duo iPad Mini 5 and iPad Air 3 are expected to make a debut towards the end of this year. Meanwhile, the powerful current-generation iPad Mini 4 is now available with a discount of $100 for a limited period of time.
The Mini 4 has never been discounted heavily in the past and hence, this deal points to the imminent arrival of the successor. Perhaps, e-retailers are clearing up the old stock to give way for the iPad Mini 5.
EBay (via Best Buy) is now selling the?64GB Apple iPad Mini 4 for $399.99. Apple Store, on the other hand, has listed the same variant for $499.99. This is a brand new listing and hence it?s selling like a hot cake.
The device on sale is a Wi-Fi only model. And, as always, you can avail free shipping service from eBay upon ordering the slate.
The Mini 4 features a 7.9-inch Retina display. This tablet is only 6.1mm thick and weighs just 0.65 pounds. Under the hood, Apple A8 chip powers the slate.
Other key configurations include an advanced iSight and FaceTime HD cameras, iCloud, Touch ID fingerprint sensor and it offers up to 10 hours of battery life.
Speaking of the iPad Mini 5, we are hearing that Apple will use?7000-series aluminum alloy and will offer a much slimmer profile. It will reportedly come with a pressure sensitive 3D Touch display. Under the hood, Apple?s powerful A9X processor is believed to power the device, rather than the new A10.
Also, expect Apple to get rid of the traditional 16GB version and offer?32GB, 64GB and 128GB of built-in storage choices instead. Upcoming iPad Mini 5 has been rumored to come with dust and water resistant exterior. Even the?iPhone 7 series will reportedly to come with the same feature. Perhaps, Apple is giving a complete overhaul to the upcoming devices as the competition from Samsung is at an all time high.
Will you be interested in purchasing the discounted iPad Mini 4? Or, will you wait for the release of the?iPad Mini 5 to see what it has to offer? Feel free to leave a comment.
