Fans of the Apple iPad Air line have to be very excited about the rumored iPad Air 3. The Cupertino-based tech giant has not released the next generation for the iPad Air since the iPad Air 2 was launched in October 2014, so a new version is already long overdue.
While there is a new 9.7-inch tablet, which is rumored to be part of the gadgets expected to be announced by Apple during its March media event, the device may not actually be the iPad Air 3 as recent reports have indicated that it could be released as a smaller version of the iPad Pro.
According to 9to5Mac, the rumored 9.7-inch iPad will not be released by Apple as the iPad Air 3. However, instead, it will be launched as the 9.7-inch iPad Pro. Pocket-Lint reports that the upcoming iPad will have similar features to the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, which was previously released, so it is certainly a possibility that the upcoming tablet will be named the iPad Pro.
While the name of the device is not yet certain, everyone will likely find out when the device is already unveiled. The upcoming iPad is expected to be launched this month. CNBC reports that the tech company has already sent out special invites to media outlets saying, “Let us loop you in?, which certainly goes to show that they have several exciting new products that they are going to unveil during the event.
With the upcoming iPad likely to be launched on the March 21st event, we can expect a release date to follow very soon. Whether it is the iPad Air 3 or the 9.7-inch iPad Pro, one thing is for certain and that is that the upcoming iPad is going to be an amazing tablet that everyone will want to get their hands on.
