‘iPad Air 2’ Leak Reveals A8 Processor and Other Enhancements

By on

Rumors have it that an A8 processor will make its way for iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2 this year. Apple is, indeed, already in the process of production of the next iPad Air this month. This is not much of a surprise, but what will power it, and a few more of the specs it will sport, are the ones that make this interesting.

According to some sources, iPad Air 2 will have the same screen resolution of 2048×1536, which is, by standards, already something. However, Apple will be powering the new iPad with a much improved A8 processor. The chip that is rumored to power the iPhone 6 as well. This will greatly improve battery efficiency and performance of the overall device.

It is also said that iPad Air 2 will have an upgraded camera. From 5-megapixels to 8-megapixels in order to match up with the current smartphones that comes with Apple?s brand. A little improvement will also be made with the front camera, jumping from 1.2-megapixel to 1.5-megapixels.

In terms of design and aesthetics, the next iPad Air will be pretty much the same as with the former. This is not something to be bothered about as Apple has been practicing the same thing with most of their devices, especially the iPhone line (with the exception of iPhone 5?s introduction which had a ?longer? body shape). Some of the screenshots also show hints that the iPad Air 2 might be a bit slimmer than its predecessor, due to the display and the front panel integrated together.

There?s also been talk about iPad Pro. However, not much has been mentioned about Apple?s bigger-sized tablet, though it has been swirling rumors online for quite a while. Rumors about a bigger iPhone 6 and iWatch?are also circulating and exciting many Apple fans.

Sources state that iPad Air 2?s likely release dates would be around November this year.
