In June, Apple announced the heavily-anticipated iOS 10 at the WWDC 2016 event. While the iPhone maker has not released the OS to public yet, the Pangu team has been working on the iOS 10 jailbreak tool.
However, the problem faced by the folks at this jailbreak team is that Apple has made it hard for them to crack the OS. Not to forget, the Pangu team showed off a jailbreak tool for iOS 10 at the MOSEC conference just after one month from the new OS announcement date.
Interestingly, Apple?s representatives were also part of the event. Following which, Apple took steps to prevent a possible jailbreak. The new preventive measure taken by Apple is the reason why the iOS 10 jailbreak release has been postponed.
Sure, the?MOSEC demonstration didn?t show a fully-functional tool, given the fact that the OS itself is in beta. However, that demonstration amped up the?expectation of Apple fans with the notion that the iOS 10 jailbreak tool release could be very soon.
Will Pangu be able to release a version on the iOS 10 release date set in September? Going by the history, the possibility is 50-50. Even with iOS 9, the delays were unprecedented. Apple made the iOS 9.3 available in March. This was followed by the release of the minor version iOS 9.3.1 by the end of the same month.
And the iOS 9.3.2 was released in May. Finally, in July, the Pangu team was able to release a cumulative iOS 9.3 Jailbreak tool in semi-tethered state.
Sadly, it took the Pangu team almost six months to bring out a tool. And it is a known fact in the jailbreak circuit that if Pangu cannot get it right, nobody else can.
On a related note, we are hearing about phony jailbreak tools specific to the latest iOS 9.3.4. It is worth noting that such fake tools can brick the device, and can?void the warranty. Hence, it is better to stick to the iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak tool.
Apple has scheduled a special event on September 7. This is when the iPhone 7 series, along with Apple Watch 2 is expected to be announced. Rumor has it that, on the same day, Apple will release the iOS 10 update as well.
