Rumors and huge leaks about Apple?s plans of the most anticipated next-generation iPhone 6 and iPhone phablet may have been roaming around the tech world and different stories may have been reported. Yet, ?what interests most of the industry watchers and Apple fans are the predictions released by KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
The most recent reports said that Ming-Chi Kuo, a KGI Securities analyst who is known for his ?mostly correct? predictions about Apple?s plans has leaked more information about the upcoming next-gen iPhone 6.
Leaksters said, Kuo predicated that iPhone 6 will come in two sizes: 4.7 and 5.5-inches with 1334×750 (326ppi) retina display for the 4.7-inches iPhone 6 and 1920 x 1080 (401 ppi) resolutions for the 5.5-inches iPhone 6; that both will come with an Apple A8 processor, 1GB of RAM, LTPS display panels, optical image stabilization, and Touch ID; and that iPhone 6 models will come in a 10 to 20 per cent narrower bezel, a 6.5?7.0mm thickness, metal casings, and NFC chips integration.
Rumors also said that Kuo has predicted that the power/sleep/wake button of the new iPhone models will be moved from the top of the phone to the side. Also, that both devices will have the same aspect ratio to the iPhone 5, which means, there will be no changes on the apps from the past years.
Reports also revealed that Apple will replace and switch from Gorilla Glass to sapphire crystal to cover the iPhone?s displays and further said that only the 64GB 5.5-inch model will use sapphire displays.
According to Kuo, (as reported by leaksters), the shift is due to limitations on the supply. However, Kuo said that it will not take long and all iPhone models of Apple will adapt and use the sapphire displays.
Moreover leaksters reported that, ?Touch ID may soon be embedded in iPhone display panels rather than home buttons, and sapphire is needed to ensure fingerprint reading accuracy.? And the models will also have a larger battery about 50% to 70% more watt-hours than the iPhone 5s.
Rumors also said that Kuo is expecting that the rear camera of these upcoming next-gen iPhone will remain at 8 megapixels and f2.2 aperture with an adoption of optical image stabilization technologies.
Kuo said that iPhone 4s and 4?s production will end, with iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c filling the two lower-end price slots in Apple?s smartphone lineup.
Finally, the analyst also predicted that the new 4.7-inch iPhone 6 will be launched on September while the iPhone phablet (which will come in a full HD 1,920 x 1,080 (401 ppi) display that measures 5.5 inches diagonally and , according to Kuo) will be out in the market by the last quarter of the year.
